History

For two decades, A•C•T has focused on providing:
  • The most complete and comprehensive solutions to environmental and infrastructure issues
  • The fastest and safest response to environmental emergencies
  • Professional scientific and engineering services in Florida and nation-wide
  • Controlled growth, financial stability and continuous improvement
  • Trust and confidence in all work products

Established on November 9, 1987, in Lakeland, Florida, A•C•T moved to its current State Road 60 complex in 1995 and continues to develop the site into a state-of-the-art operations service center, waste processing facility, and corporate office complex.

In 2001, responding to a need from the community, A•C•T implemented an annual 3-day training school for first responders from fire departments, law enforcement, local, state and federal government officials.

A•C•T added a 24-hour “Call Center” in 2005 to manage environmental incidents in all 50 states, Canada and Mexico.

In 2007, A•C•T moved into its new corporate office building that was a Design/Build project for their own Engineering and Construction Departments. The corporate office was engineered to be environmentally sound and constructed to withstand a direct hit by a Category 5 – 150 mph hurricane. A natural gas whole building generator was added to allow A•C•T to always be “up and running” in any weather condition. To provide for document storage and personnel security, an access control system was installed.

In early 2008, A•C•T formalized a training program called A•C•T University and continues to provide a higher level of hands-on training to the environmental, fire services, and construction industries.
