This remarkable achievement reflects the organization’s relentless commitment to environmental preservation and protection of marine life, and has come as part of its efforts to remediate South Florida following Hurricane Ian.
Since 1987, A-C-T has been at the forefront of addressing the crisis of marine pollution, stemming from abandoned and derelict vessels that endanger both marine ecosystems and coastal communities. As a part of ongoing contracts with state agencies, A-C-T Environmental & Infrastructure has been called on to recover, remove, and dispose of at-risk, public nuisance, and derelict vessels in public waterways and sensitive environmental areas. This may include transport, decontamination, destruction, and disposal of vessels as well as emergency environmental protection measures.
